In and out of 70s Soul 

I have always silently thought that I was never previously able to quite portrait! My original intended objective in the creation of this very Unique Production,In  Particular due to listeners with very specific tastes in music would find this concept hard to digest with the merging of many genres of the Pop’ular and Soulful worlds unionised 

Whilst those with an expanded musical pallet of whom embrace an eclectic range of music understood my intensions! 

My yearning to demonstrate my own appreciation for all genres & artists mainly stems from my childhood, being exposed to mainstream music mainly due to over exposure through our then entertainment sector that was TV [tel-I-vision]!! And Radio our only forms of media back in these days...

I particularly noticed this in the 1970s being gravitated to music contributed further by being the perfect age to experience the best that this decade had to offer against all odds being deep within a global recession and all...All the hallmarks for great song writing.

At the perfect age of 10 in the year 1977 looking back now I was fortunate enough to experience the best the 1970s had to offer Spearheaded by none more than the explosion of toys from, Stretch Armstrong to Pogo sticks, Star Wars toys to Action Man (GI Joe, U.S), Playing outside with actual friends [Not Virtual] to Open air swimming, All of These magic moments growing up were made all the more memorable by a never ending soundtrack that was the world of popular music.

All artist back were then given a exposure to co-exist side by side to feed our taste of preference, Popularity & Progression was based on singles record sales, the more sold the higher you climbed the more notoriety you received.

In the United Kingdom no platform was more popular than the UK top forty served to us on Sundays on the wireless aka Radio where we would sit through the countdown…(No way to manipulate or Fast Forward) often enduring listening from 40-1 in the hope of hearing your favourite tracks hopeful progression. This one dimensional and only way of listening to the latest hits of the time gave us inadvertent access other genres and unwittingly gave many of us a future greater appreciation to absorb all forms of music, This format would later be challenged by the visually enticing Television shows like TOTPs [Top of the pops] Soul Train [US] and the Old grey whistle test for die hard enthusiasts,

We also Previously selected top hits on duke boxes in public or in our front room via radiograms designed for playing purchased Records of your personal taste in the comfort of your home.

The many memories I have are effectively synchronised to tracks released at the time of memory recording…It has always been a passion to recapture the very essence of the 1970s in such a way that captures the fabric of feel good often on display within an era of invitation, Creativity and musicality seldom seen today, Those really were the days…Fast forward to today,

This rare double bank Holiday weekend I would like to transport you back to the relive the music magnificence that resided around the silver jubilee we experienced back in 77, and if by chance you are around my age… every single hit Record has been chosen personally with 20 from the popular charts alongside 20 from the Sweet rhythms chart that broke through being to good to contain,
