Poignant to the last drop was the fact that this was one of the first of the breakout years for not only Soul Music! But  a unified cultural shift resulting a step forward from the 70s darkest day... But it shift was not easy! If you lived it you will know exactly just what I mean.
Our music played a massive part binding races a step closer together with its healing qualities as you are about to Sample first hand presented in its purest original format known as the Vinyl Record.

Welcome to the Authentic sounds of the 80s as this week we land within a year that was a launchpad for the music industry to revive a review and strategise for we were all in a newfound positive mood which intern transcended-into our music 🎵  Be ready to embrace the raw power of relaxed post disco vibe as the sounds will later morph into street dance whilst other factions will hold on to the uptempo heartbeat infused with the hyper-sensual origins of feel good Funk to produce Fusion & Jazz Funk, Fashion, Sportswear bright colours with little care as we expressed and shared our love for the Good Groove evolving out of our collective love for feel good genre that is Soul!  If you lived this Era! Don’t hold back, “if it feels good” was the message projected outwards like a beacon of hope! In the true hope of compelling you to dance the nights away.
Welcome music lovers to this Star-Date where so much happened in such a short space of time! A year that experienced the continued evolution of feel good known as Disco music as record companies and music houses upped the stakes for dance-floor domination of the Hottest Nite-Spots, Record stores, TV advertisements and even the Movies, cabaret & Stage, Inadvertently creating an explosion of over saturation which within this very year caused Disco',s untimely Demise.
Fortunately this was not the only Ignition detonated as we were about to usher in a new Dawn…A New Decade laced with Hope bright colours and opportunity! as we said goodbye to the Oppression of the 70s and said hello to the Expression of the Fantastic 80s.

This is it! The tempo that we have been waiting for! Within this very edition you will get to hear, feel and experience the raw power of true Soul straight out of the Underground powerhouses of Motown, Philly and Salsoul of whom conjured their signature big band stables to the raw power of the record Label.
Living for Friday nights to embrace the warmth of the Disco lights was the perfect way to wash away the weekdays, At the movies Blaxploitation turned into Disco sensations all around the same time that the elements came together whilst the all important DJs plied their trades working directly for the record labels premiering new cuts on live dance floors, Upping the Disc Jockeys profile meant upping its radio play… and popularly meant sales, Win win win.
Within this Star-Date we revelled in the birth of electronic toys, A Brit Funk sensation & real marvel comics to feed your imagination…

We have been collectively simmering nicely towards this milestone Star-Date as i await to rekindle fond memories once again in a period within our life calendars that everything just seemed so innocent! Boy! Am i going to regret using that word.
If you know you’re history! Many Toys were first run additions conjured by inventive minds on auto pilot seeking fortune and fame from now banned Cap guns, Garden Darts to The Star-Wars.Meanwhile clothes back then were destined to be handed down unless you were flush! American Movies and TV shows bombarded our institution that was prior to this moment Quintessentially British. mainly Toffs or Tarquins!!
Thankfully Soul artists took front and centre spearheading this US assault of the airwaves after so long bombarding our very conditioned UK charts of popular music.
All music was about to get a Love injection direct from the Underground Gay club scene! Funny thing…Most did not even know its origins or influence’s which would not only wiggle on create a Dance craze to infect all who embraced her signature High hat and rhythm and Bass, But from this year! it would be the enhanced Sounds of Soul that would become a beacon of Hope to all binding people together like a true Harvest for the world…to create a Euphoria heartfelt, Chic and Soul-Unique…

This Edition I felt compelled to entertain you with incantations that can deliver Undiluted Joy through feelings conjured up from timeless melodies with memories from the Mid-1970s, Come with me as we take a sip of the true Spirit of 76.
Within this Star-date Compositions reined supreme with a tempo seldom replicated to this day from some of the pioneering record labels... Something special was sure to happen with all of this creativity unleashed across so many variations of Jazz the origins of Soul Music laced with funk & forged out of the production houses eager to break free from oppression that enveloped the dreams of many that hung like a shroud for the wanton to deliver that moment of magic to break through with desires of acclaim and fame, 1970-75 Releases just that! flirted in and around this futuristic collaborative sound that became Disco was previously known as Dance R&B, Little would they know that their combined sounds was about to Ignite an explosion that is felt to this very day...

Continuing last week’s Fab special edition, Dance Decade season finally arrives.Introducing you to the Best Broadcast months of your life…The next 10 weeks for sure!This Production will transport you back to the mid-1970s where Mustard & Brown was the base colour. Polyester was the rage! Women’s Libb Struggled to share equal stage with men, Banana skins were thrown at me from cars on the way to school! Whoopee! Free Food, Children played out all day! And a nation of fathers watched TOTPs for all the wrong Reasons…UK Perspective!!! Im Sure US Soul Train was just the same, Stateside TV portrayed crime was fine! Brothers were still Hustlin for chump change and everything! And I mean everything was bigger in the US of A, Or so it seemed?

Welcome back music lovers to our portal where I invite you revisit your moments in soul which now reside within the memories of your inner minds. Inside this edition the fabulous 80s lies as a now distant but fond backdrop as I turn the time tuner to lock in too this period where socialising was an institution, Not a privilege! As wine-bars became as popular as the night spots which now provided another platform for the evolving DJ to create a widely high-street accessible platform for Soul music appreciations.
The wine bars that I played at and frequented for leisure were not only for yuppies to flick at each others filo-fax’s ! Superior sound systems, light shows and the rules of a mutual attraction were part of the game, Not forgetting 30 minute + wait times at the bar… I guess you could say Soul musics embrace knew no boundaries…
Feel my records served to you my way… Undiluted and in my own Soul-Unique interpretation of a Mega-Mix,
